Configuring Web Gateway on a Web Server

This topic gives a brief introduction to configuring the Process Platform Web gateway on IIS or Apache Web servers.

When Process Platform is installed on a computer , the Process Platform Web gateway is loaded into the Web server. You have option of loading the Web gateway in Apache or IIS during installation. If you have installed it on IIS during installation, you have the choice of configuring the gateway on Apache after installation or vice versa.

You can configure more than one instance of the Web gateway. But atleast one instance of gateway must be configured on a Web server before you can configure multiple instances of gateway in the respective Web server. For example, during Process Platform installation if IIS was chosen then you must configure gateway on Apache and then go on to create multiple instances of gateway on Apache.

To manually configure gateway on IIS, refer to Configuring Web Gateway on IIS Server. To create multiple instances of gateway on IIS, refer to Configuring Multiple IIS Instances.

To manually configure gateway on Apache, refer to Configuring Web Gateway on Apache Server. To create multiple instances of gateway on Apache, refer to Configuring Multiple Apache Instances.
